Michael joined Resilience in 2008. His experience includes serving as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Oglebay Norton Company, the former Great Lakes shipping and mining company with $400 million in annual revenues. Michael led the company through a voluntary Chapter 11 process, in which he completed a financial restructuring and business portfolio reorganization. Before becoming CEO, he held the position of COO and was in charge of the company’s fleet of vessels, 24 mines and 1,800 employees. Prior to Oglebay Norton, Michael was President and Partner of Michigan Limestone Operations, where he negotiated the $100 million sale of the company to Oglebay Norton. Michael serves as a director on several non-Resilience companies, as well as non-profit organizations.
