Michael Merriman

Michael joined Resilience in 2008. From 1995 to 2004, he was Chief Executive Officer of Royal Appliance Mfg. Co., the manufacturer of Dirt Devil vacuum cleaners with $428 million in sales. Michael led the company until its sale to its largest supplier in 2003. From September 2005 to November 2006, Michael served as the Chief Financial Officer of American Greetings Corporation, a $1.7 billion company, where he led the M&A activities and facilitated a refinancing and repurchase of a third of the company’s outstanding shares. In November 2006, Michael assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Lamson & Sessions Corporation, a $560 million manufacturer of plastic pipe, fittings, and switch and outlet boxes for the home and commercial construction industries, until its successful sale to Thomas & Betts in November 2007. Michael currently serves on the board of four public companies: American Greetings Corporation, Nordson Corporation, Omnova Solutions, Inc., and RC2 Corporation.
